Andishe Iranian Cultural Centre of WA was first established in 1991 as a way to reach to, gather and assist the diverse Iranian and Farsi-speaking community of WA, regardless of religious or political background.In order to reach these goals, Andishe offers a range of free services. Even though Andishe does not have many registered members, there are plenty of people who use the Centre’s services. All these services are offered on a voluntarily basis, and the member’s use their personal premises and facilities to offer their assistance. Some of the services offered are:
- Translation/interpretation to the Iranian and Farsi-speaking
community of WA
- General Information on living in Australia; especially for the newcomers.
- Assistance to the elderly people.
- Broadcasting in Persian (Farsi).
Radio Andishe is the Centre’s radio program which is broadcasted in Farsi, and runs every Sunday from 6-7 pm on 6EBA, 95.3 FM MHz.
The program started in 1991 as a way to provide information to the Iranian and Farsi-speaking community, and to bring the community together.
In the program, you will find everything from news (Iran and the World), comments, live interviews, article readings, music, culture, and announcement of special events/dates that are significant to the Iranian culture and history. The rich content makes Radio Andishe an open and vivid channel for the diverse Iranian and Farsi-speaking community of WA.
Radio Andishe has approximately 2-3000 listeners, mostly from an Iranian or Afghani background. It is also a highly interactive program where the listeners frequently call and send emails to the broadcasting team; they request music and give their feedback about the content of the program.

AGM 2009 elects New Management Council

The Multicultural Radio & Television Association of WA Inc. held its Annual General Meeting this year on the 18th October 2009. The venue was the Floreat Athena Soccer Club where over 100 members, their guests and friends attended the meeting, followed by a luncheon prepared by the Club's chef Mr. Peter Kalogeracos allowing members to socialize, relax and catch up.

The Australian Albanian Society of Perth Inc. hit the air waves with their first program this Friday 11th September 2009. The Association incorporated in June 2007 with a registered office in Dianella aims to bring the Albanian Community together, assist people to find work, housing and maintain its culture by promoting regular family gatherings with a particular focus on assisting its older citizens.

The "Sikh Sangeet" program is run by volunteers from the Sikh Association of WA Inc. Heading up a team 7 volunteers is Mr.Amrit Pal Singh who is the Senior Producer. The program goes to air every Thursday 7am. The language is Panjabi. Why not tune in to 6EBA-FM 95.3 World Radio and be entertained too?
