Bob Kingi from New Zealand is a founding member of the Moana Pasifika radio program which commenced on air November 2002 with a 1 hour program. Today Bob runs a 2 hour program. Tune in Friday 10-12 midday to listen to a program jam packed with talkback and interviews.

Tare Tuanna hails from the Cook Islands and started his radio career in Cairns on our Sunshine Coast back around 2001. Tare has been with Moana Pasifika since 2005 and chats on air in his native Rarotongan.

Hemi Coffey more popularly known to his listeners as Hemi Ho Ha has been on air since the days when this station transmitted from the studios of 6NR now Curtin Radio.

Charlie Tuanna has been in radio since the age of 14 and with the Moana Pasifika team since 2005, and does the 1st Friday in the month program for the island youth. Charlie invites you to tune in for a bit of chit chat or just to request a song.  Local artists are welcome to come and guest on the show.

Tina Versteeg from the island of Niue in Polynesiajoined the Moana Pasifika team mid 2007 after completing her trainingat the station.  Tina is very enthusiastic about bringing to theairwaves items of interest to her community and music from back home.

BobKingi welcomes special guest to the Moana Pasifika program Dennis Marchand two members of his band Richard Diaz & Alfred Williams. Thegroup spoke about their current gigs in the Perth area and some pastevents.  The highlight was a live performance in the Studio.

McNair Ingenuity say 57% of Australians listen to Community Radio !

The McNair Ingenuity Community Radio Listenership Survey results were released earlier this month at Parliament House and showed an increase from 47% of Australians (aged 15+) listening to community radio every month in 2006, to 57% in 2008

Rotary Group Study Exchange Student visits 6EBA !

During late October, we were lucky enough to have Niki Cleary visit the 6EBA studios. Niki is taking part in the Rotary Group Study Exchange which sees people from different cultures and countries meet up with others in their profession whilst developing professional and leadership skills and travelling the world.
