African Youth Hit Perth Airways

Wednesdays will never be the same again with a brand new African show on air! Our listeners get a large dose of cultural energy first thing in the morning with Africa the Beautiful.


The show is part of 6EBAs youth broadcast segment, it is hosted by Tanzanian born Lovena Misamba and Zimbabwean raised Lulame Azele. The two girls have an unchained passion for Africa and want to spread it all over Perth! The duo take listeners, “deep in the jungle where nobody goes…” their quirky folk stories are sure to put a smile on your face. They also have African recipes, profiles of countries, travel and interview movers and shakers in the continually growing African community. 6EBA is Perth's only full time ethnic radio station and has been broadcasting to Perth's non-English speaking population for over thirty years. Our station has over 500 volunteers each broadcasting to their communities of interest, the majority of whom have been doing so for over twenty years.

Whadjuk Radio is an Award Winning indigenous radio program on air on 6EBA-FM 95.3 World Radio since early 1997. Past presenters like Kylie Farmer, Ethel Wallam and Karla Hart have moved on with their careers and are now highly successful in each of their fields. Whadjuk Radio and 6EBA is proud to have played a small part in their success.

AGM 2009 elects New Management Council

The Multicultural Radio & Television Association of WA Inc. held its Annual General Meeting this year on the 18th October 2009. The venue was the Floreat Athena Soccer Club where over 100 members, their guests and friends attended the meeting, followed by a luncheon prepared by the Club's chef Mr. Peter Kalogeracos allowing members to socialize, relax and catch up.
